Review of the campsite
This was my fifth overnight stop at a campsite on my cycling tour from Tours to Ouistreham. It was the best in almost every way. Cyclotent most spacious, most comfortable, best equipped, best placed. Peaceful setting and, most important, an extremely warm, friendly and helpful welcome. Best in 'almost every way'? You can't blame the campsite, but the view of the Rouvre and beyond couldn't really compete with the Loire, Cher or Mayenne!
Better placed and marked cold drinking water tap would have been helpful, as would a second power socket in the main part of the tent to permit personal equipment at the same time as the light.

Accommodation review - tent cyclo Suisse Normande
Beds were comfortable and each equipped with pillow, duvet and blanket. Centre space was high enough to stand up straight (I am quite tall). Provision of gas stove and cutlery, crockery, pans and utensils was so helpful. Electricity supply allowed for a light and for overnight charging of phones, powerbanks, bike lights and hearing aids. Covered seating and cooking area allowed sleeping area to be closed off to keep insects out, and the chairs themselves were fairly comfortable. Covered storage space for bicycles at the back was brilliant. Proximity to facilities was excellent.

Wonderful place.. a real find!

Friendly welcome Celine and Manu really make the effort to make your stay special. Peace and quiet. Lots of nature. Fantastic walks and nature spots nearby. Swiss Normandie is very beautiful and the campsite is in a lovely valley. Bakery delivery each morning. Nice pizzas in the evening!
Tent for 2. Each pitch has a hedge or boundary so you get some privacy. Electricity hookups available

The looks of the reception, the cozy wooden veranda where my kids played games, discovering the little wooden figures around the site, the donkey and the goats, the Rouvre behind our tent, the screeching of the owls, the owners that are just so nice, the ping pong table, our camping spot, the quiet, the sanitary building with showers in- and outside and semi private sinks, it was very clean, the eco friendliness is important and they do a great job!
I can’t think of any. Maybe the washingmachine because it left some residue on some of the clothes

Genuinely warm and friendly hosts. Variety of pitch types, open or delineated. Hot showers. Good selection of one pot meals etc in small shop, ideal for velo campers like me. Chill out, sitting area and bar. Overall, a very relaxing friendly vibe.
Lightweight touring tent pitch in open field, picnic benches available, camp fire pit for communal gathering.

Perfect little get-away!
Review of the campsite
We needed a short break from our never ending renovation project, so this place, just one hour from where we live, seemed ideal. And it really was! The owners were very friendly and did everything they could to make sure we were comfortable. It was very cold on the first night but we were cosy in our little den because of all the extra blankets they gave us.

All the facilities were exactly as described. Very clean and practical. The beds were very comfortable. Going to sleep with the sound of the babbling river was so restful.
